  • Cartesian product, relation, functions

  • Complex numbers: basic properties, modulus, argument

  • Arithmetic, geometric, and harmonic progressions

  • Permutation and combination

  • Logarithms and their applications

Matrices and Determinants:

  • Types of matrices, operations on matrices

  • Determinant of a matrix, properties

  • Adjoint and inverse of a matrix

  • Applications – solution of simultaneous equations (up to three variables)

Trigonometry:

  • Angles and their measures (degrees and radians)

  • Trigonometric ratios and identities

  • Inverse trigonometric functions

  • Height and distance applications

Analytical Geometry of Two and Three Dimensions:

  • Cartesian coordinate system

  • Distance formula, section formula

Differential Calculus:

UPSC NDA II Recruitment 2025 – FAQs

1. What is the NDA exam?

The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and for the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).


2. What is the eligibility for NDA II 2025?

  • Nationality: Indian citizen or as per UPSC notification.

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years (Born between 02 Jan 2007 to 01 Jan 2010).

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Army Wing: 12th class passed or appearing.

    • Navy & Air Force/Naval Academy: 12th with Physics and Mathematics.


3. Can girls apply for NDA II 2025?

Yes, female candidates are eligible to apply for NDA since 2021 as per the Supreme Court’s order.


4. What is the application fee for NDA II 2025?

  • General/OBC: ₹100

  • SC/ST/Female candidates: Exempted (No fee)


5. What is the exam pattern of NDA II 2025?

  • Mathematics: 300 marks

  • General Ability Test (GAT): 600 marks

  • Total: 900 marks (Written Exam)

  • SSB Interview: 900 marks


6. Is there any negative marking in NDA?

Yes, 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
